Q: Why is Empower On important?

A: There are not many scholarships for students with disabilities to study abroad… Empower On is important because it will help give college students with disabilities an opportunity to study abroad in a country they aspire to. It shows people that studying abroad for a student in a wheelchair is a learning opportunity for not just the student but for people to learn about disabilities.

Q: How do you think Empower On will help students with disabilities at the Cal State LA and UC Irvine campuses?

A: This project can help them by providing a scholarship so that they would be able to pursue their dream of studying abroad, and get across this opportunity barrier. This is why enough funds need to be raised to help students with disabilities at these two campuses under Empower On project. Hopefully, this will be done in other campuses as well.
