Q: Why are you creating a scholarship fund to help students with disabilities study abroad?

A: We believe that studying abroad should be affordable and accessible to all students, and that’s why we’re creating a scholarship to help students with disabilities study abroad. Studying abroad can be very expensive, especially if you have to pay for medical expenses and special adaptions or accommodations. In order to study abroad in Barcelona, I discovered that I needed to purchase a new manual wheelchair to make it easier for me to travel internationally. These kind of extra expenses can be an obstacle, and our hope is to make it a little easier for students that need help with these costs.
